Damon Gaskin QB
The Custodians

100 yards for Damon Gaskin, against the club that did not want him. We did. He is 37 now, which was most of the argument at the time. The fixture comes round again next year.

He has 8,358 yards from scrimmage in nine seasons, and 135 touchdowns. This is the best of them. For five clubs.

He is from Auckland, New Zealand. Ask anybody: he is the first man in the building most mornings. He was rugby until he was nineteen, and he tackles like it. Before any of it he drove a snowplow for the county.

The club is 7-8. Mateo Morrow is in year three of it. There is one year left on the deal.

Gaskin has never once been photographed smiling on a sideline.
