Lorenzo Cabrera lost for the year to an ACL

Marlene Ostrowski, column

Lorenzo Cabrera RB
Hellcats

Lorenzo Cabrera is hurt again, and this time it is an ACL and the whole season. It is the third time this season he has been on the report.

He has 9,962 yards from scrimmage in eight seasons, and sixty-nine touchdowns. His best was 2,116. This is not that, yet. Four clubs have had him.

Bitter Lake, Idaho is where he is from. He is thirty-five. Around the building he is popular in a way that does not show up anywhere useful. Nobody planned any of it. He was cut twice before his twenty-fourth birthday.

Hellcats, 0-1, and one weeks gone. Hakeem Jones is in year seven of it. There is one year left on the deal.

Cabrera collects vinyl and is insufferable about it.

This feature ran in the paper in week 1 of 1984. The rest of the season is there too.
