132 against the club that let him go

Wendell Sowerbutts, notebook

Tucker Ulmer QB
Prospectors

Tucker Ulmer had 132 yards against the Marauders, who used to employ him. He is 31 now, which was most of the argument at the time. The fixture comes round again next year.

Across seven seasons: 4,403 yards from scrimmage, sixty-two touchdowns, ninety-six games. This is the best of them. He has done it in two buildings.

He is from Bellwether, Ohio. Around the building he is the first man in the building most mornings. He was found at a regional combine by a scout whose flight had been cancelled.

The club is 8-7. Solomon Fields is in year six of it. There is one year left on the deal.

He has worn the same undershirt since his rookie year and had it repaired twice, and always has.
