The Firebrands have lost Xzavier Kirkland to a knee. Nobody who reads a durability grade is surprised. It is the second knee of his career. This was always the risk and everyone knew it.
Across nine seasons: 5,782 yards from scrimmage, twenty-six touchdowns, 118 games. He got to 1,119 once. Not this time. Two of those shirts belong to somebody else now.
Chicago, Illinois is where he is from. He is twenty-nine. Around the building he says almost nothing and is listened to anyway. He was signed off a practice squad in November and never gave the job back.
