The long way round: Peewee Petty goes for 143

Chip Nutbeam, hot take

Peewee Petty RB
Longshoremen

Peewee Petty was converted from linebacker in his second professional season and just put up 143 YARDS. This is the best thing that has happened all season. Two of them found the end zone, in game 5 of his season. It counts the same as anybody else's.

Across two seasons: 2,642 yards from scrimmage, twenty touchdowns, thirty-five games.

Pinch, West Virginia is where he is from. He is twenty-five. He says almost nothing and is listened to anyway.

Longshoremen are 2-3 through five weeks. Zane Merritt II is in year five of it. The contract runs out in the spring.

One more thing: he has worn the same undershirt since his rookie year and had it repaired twice.
