K.P. Jugg Jr. was not supposed to be here

Wendell Sowerbutts, notebook

K.P. Jugg Jr. QB
Vulcans

K.P. Jugg Jr. had 118 yards. He was a track man who was talked into it by a coach who never let go. Out of Cutler Bible, which sends one of these to the league about once a decade. It counts the same as anybody else's.

The ledger, after four seasons: 1,958 yards, thirty-two scores. None of the others were this good. For two clubs.

He turned twenty-eight this year. He is from Miami, Florida. He says almost nothing and is listened to anyway.

Vulcans are 1-1 through two weeks. Bo Lattimore is in year three of it. The contract runs out in the spring.

He learned to cook properly during a rehab year and now does it for the offensive line, and always has.

This feature ran in the paper in week 2 of 2018. The rest of the season is there too.
