113 against the club that let him go

Gus Pemberton, sources say

Javon Crenshaw WR
Smelters

The Marauders let Javon Crenshaw go and had reasons, none of which they will repeat this week. He had 113 yards against them. He is 31 now, which was most of the argument at the time. The fixture comes round again next year.

He has 10,570 yards from scrimmage in ten seasons, and fifty-two touchdowns. There was a 1,364-yard year in there. This is not it. Three clubs have had him.

He is from Detroit, Michigan. He keeps his own counsel and his own hours. Nobody planned any of it. He was drafted late, on the strength of one game nobody else watched.

Smelters, 5-4, and ten weeks gone. Damon Renfrow is in year four of it. The contract runs out in the spring.
