Prospectors lose Beckett Morrow to a high ankle

Gridiron Wire, league desk

Beckett Morrow QB
Prospectors

Beckett Morrow will miss the rest of the season with a high ankle. The backup inherits the job for now.

Across three seasons: 6,050 yards from scrimmage, seventy-seven touchdowns, fifty-one games. His best was 2,350. This is not that, yet.

Tijuana, Mexico is where he is from. He is twenty-three. Around the building he is the one the young players actually ask. He was the second man taken at his position out of Marchbanks.

Prospectors are 10-6 through seventeen weeks. Solomon Fields is in year three of it.

He has never once been photographed smiling on a sideline, and always has.

This feature ran in the paper in week 17 of 1980. The rest of the season is there too.
