The long way round: Bryce Ottermole goes for 87

87 yards from a man who was the younger brother of a player nobody in this league remembers. The scouting industry declines to comment. Two of them found the end zone, in game 3 of his season. It counts the same as anybody else's.

He has 492 yards from scrimmage in his first season, and eight touchdowns.

Twenty-four, and Bitter Lake, Idaho before that. Around the building he would rather be almost anywhere else on a Tuesday.

The club is 2-3. Oscar Kearse is in year thirty-five of it.

Ottermole collects vinyl and is insufferable about it.

This feature ran in the paper in week 5 of 2015. The rest of the season is there too.
