137 against the club that let him go

Wendell Sowerbutts, notebook

Otis Farrow Jr. QB
Draymen

Otis Farrow Jr., formerly of the Anvils: 137 yards. He was asked about it and said it was just another game. He is 31 now, which was most of the argument at the time. The fixture comes round again next year.

Across nine seasons: 12,803 yards from scrimmage, 196 touchdowns, 134 games. His best was 2,198. This is not that, yet. For three clubs.

He is from Houston, Texas. He says almost nothing and is listened to anyway. The route here: a late bloomer who did not start a game until he was a college senior. In another life he fixed diesel engines with his uncle.

Draymen are 4-10 through fifteen weeks. Xavier Rollins is in year two of it.

He keeps his father's work gloves in his locker, and always has.
