Slippery Boxwell returns the favour

Wendell Sowerbutts, notebook

Slippery Boxwell QB
Turbines

Slippery Boxwell, formerly of the Pikemen: 155 yards. He was asked about it and said it was just another game. Two of them found the end zone. The fixture comes round again next year.

Across five seasons: 8,499 yards from scrimmage, 114 touchdowns, seventy-eight games. This is the best of them. He has done it in two buildings.

Newark, New Jersey is where he is from. He is twenty-eight. He runs hot, and everybody has decided to live with it. Nobody planned any of it. He was a basketball player until he was twenty, and it still shows.

Turbines are 3-1 through four weeks. Duke Gravelle is in year seventeen of it.

Boxwell keeps his father's work gloves in his locker.
