Solomon Vaughn did everything right in the rehab. He is 21.9, it was an Achilles, and some of it is not coming back. He lost 6.6 points of ability and will not get them back. He has been good for a long time. That counts for something.
He has 42 yards from scrimmage in his first season, and zero touchdowns.
He turned twenty-two this year. He is from Ojo Caliente, New Mexico. He would rather be almost anywhere else on a Tuesday. Nobody planned any of it. He was a track man who was talked into it by a coach who never let go.
Firebrands are 13-4 through eighteen weeks. Barney Grit is in year twenty of it. He is out of contract after this.
