Wilhelm Ashworth done for the year

Marlene Ostrowski, column

Wilhelm Ashworth TE
The Porterhouse

Wilhelm Ashworth is hurt again, and this time it is an ACL and the whole season. It is the third time this season he has been on the report. Draft accordingly.

3,340 yards over five seasons. Twenty-eight touchdowns. Seventy-four games. There was a 792-yard year in there. This is not it.

Twenty-five, and Doverville, Georgia before that. Ask anybody: he is popular in a way that does not show up anywhere useful. The route here: a mid-round pick who was the fourth-best player on his own college team.

The Porterhouse are 6-8 through fifteen weeks. Cormac Bombardo is in year thirty-six of it.

He learned to cook properly during a rehab year and now does it for the offensive line, and always has.

This feature ran in the paper in week 15 of 2013. The rest of the season is there too.
