Anton Petrossian lost for the year to a shoulder

Marlene Ostrowski, column

Anton Petrossian QB
Nightshift

Anton Petrossian is hurt again, and this time it is a shoulder and the whole season. The backup inherits the job for now.

Across nine seasons: 17,469 yards from scrimmage, 277 touchdowns, 146 games. His best was 3,210. This is not that, yet. Two of those shirts belong to somebody else now.

He is thirty, out of Tijuana, Mexico. Around the building he is the first man in the building most mornings. He was converted from quarterback, which he was not good enough at.

The club is 1-1. Rafael Everhart is in year six of it.

Has a rule about not reading anything written about him, which he breaks.

This feature ran in the paper in week 2 of 2011. The rest of the season is there too.
