Anton Petrossian beats the Smelters to it

Wendell Sowerbutts, notebook

Anton Petrossian QB
Nightshift

Anton Petrossian, formerly of the Smelters: 88 yards. He was asked about it and said it was just another game. He is the first man in the building most mornings, so nobody expects him to say much about it. The fixture comes round again next year.

The ledger, after nine seasons: 17,469 yards, 277 scores. He got to 3,210 once. Not this time. He has done it in two buildings.

He turned thirty this year. He is from Tijuana, Mexico. The route here: converted from quarterback, which he was not good enough at.

Nightshift, 4-8, and thirteen weeks gone. Rafael Everhart is in year six of it.

Has a rule about not reading anything written about him, which he breaks.
