Shawn Braddock: 74 yards. He was a late bloomer who did not start a game until he was a college senior, which the record will now have to accommodate. He will not step on the painted logo at midfield, which his teammates have stopped remarking on. It counts the same as anybody else's.
He has 1,583 yards from scrimmage in four seasons, and fourteen touchdowns. There was a 812-yard year in there. This is not it.
He turned twenty-four this year. He is from Oakland, California. Ask anybody: he is popular in a way that does not show up anywhere useful.
Anvils are 5-4 through nine weeks. Hoot Jessup is in year five of it. The contract runs out in the spring.
