135 against the club that let him go

Chip Nutbeam, hot take

Andre Danforth QB
Copperheads

Andre Danforth went for 135 against the Vulcans AND THEY LET HIM LEAVE. He is 38 now, which was most of the argument at the time. The fixture comes round again next year.

The ledger, after fourteen seasons: 12,600 yards, 153 scores. His best was 1,616. This is not that, yet. He has done it in three buildings.

He is from Muddy Creek, Kentucky. He talks constantly and means about half of it. Nobody planned any of it. He was drafted late, on the strength of one game nobody else watched.

Copperheads are 4-4 through nine weeks. Gravy Trubisky Jr. is new. The contract runs out in the spring.

One more thing: he reads on the team plane, actual books, which his teammates find hilarious.
