Elmo David returns diminished

Marlene Ostrowski, column

Elmo David LB
Draymen

Elmo David is back from the ACL but has lost a step, and his durability grade has fallen to Wrecked. He is 37.3. That is the worst age for this. Somebody will still draft him on name recognition.

Eighty-one sacks and twenty-two interceptions across sixteen seasons.

He is from Verdigris, Kansas. Around the building he is popular in a way that does not show up anywhere useful. The route here: the younger brother of a player nobody in this league remembers.

Draymen, 5-12, and eighteen weeks gone. Emmett Garrity is new. He is out of contract after this.

He has worn the same undershirt since his rookie year and had it repaired twice, and always has.
