Rafael Crumpacker: ACL, the rest of the season. That is his season.

He has 6,426 yards from scrimmage in five seasons, and forty-six touchdowns. His best was 1,657. This is not that, yet. For two clubs.

Twenty-seven, and Hollow Rock, Tennessee before that. He is the one the young players actually ask. The route here: the son of a man who played eleven years at the same position.

The club is 8-8. Rafael Everhart is new.

One more thing: he never takes his helmet off between series.

This feature ran in the paper in week 17 of 2005. The rest of the season is there too.
