Prospectors lose Milo Northcutt to a knee

Gridiron Wire, league desk

Milo Northcutt QB
Prospectors

Prospectors QB Milo Northcutt will miss the rest of the season with a knee. That is his season.

He has 18,931 yards from scrimmage in twelve seasons, and 259 touchdowns. He got to 2,329 once. Not this time. Three clubs have had him.

Thirty-four, and Baltimore, Maryland before that. Around the building he is unfailingly polite and completely unknowable. He was the highest-rated recruit his state had produced in a decade.

Prospectors are 5-6 through twelve weeks. Meatball Speight is new. The contract runs out in the spring.

He has a rule about not reading anything written about him, which he breaks, and always has.

This feature ran in the paper in week 12 of 2005. The rest of the season is there too.
