Boarhounds lose Slippery Zimmer to an MCL

P.J. Thorne, injury desk

Slippery Zimmer RB
Boarhounds

Slippery Zimmer sustained an MCL and is expected to miss the rest of the season. The backup inherits the job for now.

15,828 yards over thirteen seasons. Eighty-four touchdowns. 207 games. There was a 2,127-yard year in there. This is not it. Three clubs have had him.

Thirty-three, and Baltimore, Maryland before that. Ask anybody: he talks constantly and means about half of it. The route here: drafted on a medical gamble that three clubs would not take.

The club is 1-0. Oscar Kearse is in year twenty-five of it. The contract runs out in the spring.

He answers every question in exactly one sentence, and always has.
