Chip Nutbeam, hot take

Maddox Pankhurst QB
The Toboggans

Maddox Pankhurst had 176 yards. He was a walk-on at Ozark Wesleyan who did not have a scholarship until his third year. Out of Ozark Wesleyan, which sends one of these to the league about once a decade. It counts the same as anybody else's.

Across four seasons: 5,302 yards from scrimmage, seventy-eight touchdowns, sixty-four games. He got to 1,463 once. Not this time.

He turned twenty-five this year. He is from Kingston, Jamaica. Around the building he is popular in a way that does not show up anywhere useful.

The club is 4-3. Andre Lockett is new. The contract runs out in the spring.

One more thing: he refuses to be taped by anybody but the same assistant trainer.
