Milo Cheeverly sustained a high ankle and is expected to miss the rest of the season. The backup inherits the job for now.

He has 7,182 yards from scrimmage in six seasons, and 103 touchdowns. He got to 1,513 once. Not this time.

Twenty-seven, and New Antwerp, Wisconsin before that. Around the building he is popular in a way that does not show up anywhere useful. He was the younger brother of a player nobody in this league remembers. In another life he was three credits short of a nursing degree.
