Devon Wexler is back, and immediately useful

Chip Nutbeam, hot take

Devon Wexler TE
Snowplows

Devon Wexler is BACK. 35.9 points in his first week.

He has 10,114 yards from scrimmage in twelve seasons, and 111 touchdowns. There was a 1,321-yard year in there. This is not it.

He is thirty-two, out of Muddy Creek, Kentucky. Ask anybody: he is the first man in the building most mornings. Nobody planned any of it. He was drafted late, on the strength of one game nobody else watched.

Snowplows, 5-9, and fifteen weeks gone. Wendell Nutbeam is new. There is one year left on the deal.

Wexler reads on the team plane, actual books, which his teammates find hilarious.
