Nobody drafted this afternoon

Chip Nutbeam, hot take

Anton Petrossian QB
Smelters

Anton Petrossian was converted from quarterback, which he was not good enough at and just put up 140 YARDS. This is the best thing that has happened all season. He has a rule about not reading anything written about him, which he breaks, which his teammates have stopped remarking on. It counts the same as anybody else's.

The ledger, after his first season: 1,583 yards, twenty-nine scores.

Twenty-two, and Tijuana, Mexico before that. He is the first man in the building most mornings.

Smelters are 8-5 through fourteen weeks. Keegan Callender is new.

This feature ran in the paper in week 14 of 2003. The rest of the season is there too.
