Kip Hardaway lost for the year to an ankle

Marlene Ostrowski, column

Kip Hardaway QB
Quarrymen

Kip Hardaway is hurt again, and this time it is an ankle and the whole season. That is his season. Draft accordingly.

The ledger, after five seasons: 1,661 yards, twenty-six scores. None of the others were this good. He has done it in two buildings.

Apia, Samoa is where he is from. He is twenty-six. Ask anybody: he is the first man in the building most mornings. Nobody planned any of it. He was converted from linebacker in his second professional season. Before any of it he worked the overnight shift at a grain elevator.

Quarrymen, 6-9, and sixteen weeks gone. Yusuf Larue is in year twenty-four of it.

He answers every question in exactly one sentence, and always has.
