The long way round: Julius Vance goes for 187

Julius Vance QB
The Fighting Ostriches

Julius Vance had 187 yards. He was signed off a practice squad in November and never gave the job back. He learned to cook properly during a rehab year and now does it for the offensive line, which his teammates have stopped remarking on. It counts the same as anybody else's.

He has 16,516 yards from scrimmage in eleven seasons, and 241 touchdowns. This is the best of them. Five clubs have had him.

Bitter Lake, Idaho is where he is from. He is thirty-four. He is unfailingly polite and completely unknowable.

The Fighting Ostriches are 6-4 through eleven weeks. Rico Norwood is in year eighteen of it. He is out of contract after this.
