Bishop Quigley out 8 games with a broken hand

Marlene Ostrowski, column

Bishop Quigley WR
Bighorns

Bishop Quigley will miss 8 games with a broken hand. The backup inherits the job for now. Draft accordingly.

He has 10,434 yards from scrimmage in eleven seasons, and forty-one touchdowns. There was a 1,593-yard year in there. This is not it.

He is thirty-one, out of Tannery Row, Maine. Ask anybody: he is the first man in the building most mornings. He was the second man taken at his position out of Northgate.

Bighorns, 1-1, and two weeks gone. Nikolai Renfrow is in year two of it. There is one year left on the deal.

He refuses to be taped by anybody but the same assistant trainer, and always has.

This feature ran in the paper in week 2 of 2000. The rest of the season is there too.
