Nathaniel Sanderson RB
Longshoremen

Nathaniel Sanderson returned from a calf and put up 20.4 points.

The ledger, after seven seasons: 3,928 yards, thirty-two scores. This is the best of them.

He turned thirty this year. He is from Cleveland, Ohio. Around the building he would rather be almost anywhere else on a Tuesday. He was an academic transfer who arrived at Halloway State to study engineering. He worked nights at a rendering plant to pay for a truck he never bought, once.

Longshoremen, 6-7, and fourteen weeks gone. Tevin Ingram is in year seven of it. The contract runs out in the spring.

One more thing: he keeps his father's work gloves in his locker.

This feature ran in the paper in week 14 of 2000. The rest of the season is there too.
