Cannoneers lose Rondell Farrow to an Achilles

Rondell Farrow will miss the rest of the season with an Achilles. It is the second Achilles of his career.

Across three seasons: 4,432 yards from scrimmage, twenty-six touchdowns, forty-five games. None of the others were this good.

Twenty-three, and Grange, Illinois before that. Around the building he is popular in a way that does not show up anywhere useful. The route here: cut twice before his twenty-fourth birthday.

Cannoneers are 6-4 through eleven weeks. Mike Rowave is new.

One more thing: he has never once been photographed smiling on a sideline.

This feature ran in the paper in week 11 of 1999. The rest of the season is there too.
