The long way round: M.T. Nosebleed goes for 151

Dredgers

M.T. Nosebleed: 151 yards. He was undrafted out of Bramble Hill, signed the Tuesday after for the minimum, which the record will now have to accommodate. Two of them found the end zone, in game 6 of his season. It counts the same as anybody else's.

10,027 yards over seven seasons. 140 touchdowns. 109 games. None of the others were this good. He has done it in two buildings.

Twenty-nine, and Osaka, Japan before that. He is the one the young players actually ask.

Dredgers are 2-4 through six weeks. Wendell Iverson is in year four of it.

Nosebleed has never once been photographed smiling on a sideline.

This feature ran in the paper in week 6 of 1998. The rest of the season is there too.
