Nightshift lose Elias Mothersbaugh to an AC joint

Elias Mothersbaugh WR
Nightshift

Elias Mothersbaugh sustained an AC joint and is expected to miss the rest of the season. That is his season.

9,343 yards over nine seasons. Fifty-one touchdowns. 148 games. There was a 1,411-yard year in there. This is not it. He has done it in four buildings.

Thirty-one, and Cork, Ireland before that. Around the building he is the one the young players actually ask. The route here: a mid-round pick who was the fourth-best player on his own college team.

Nightshift are 4-2 through six weeks. Meatball Speight is in year twelve of it. The contract runs out in the spring.

One more thing: he refuses to be taped by anybody but the same assistant trainer.

This feature ran in the paper in week 6 of 1997. The rest of the season is there too.
