The long way round: Elias Prentice goes for 159

Dez Cruikshank, team beat

Elias Prentice QB
Timberjacks

Elias Prentice had 159 yards. He was a walk-on at Cutler Bible who did not have a scholarship until his third year. Two of them found the end zone, in game 6 of his season. It counts the same as anybody else's.

Across six seasons: 10,562 yards from scrimmage, 149 touchdowns, ninety-six games. There was a 2,415-yard year in there. This is not it.

Bitter Lake, Idaho is where he is from. He is twenty-eight. Ask anybody: he has never been described as easy to coach.

The club is 8-5. Bo Popplewell is new.

Prentice answers every question in exactly one sentence.
