Yancy Bruisewell is back, and immediately useful

Dez Cruikshank, team beat

Yancy Bruisewell RB
Quarrymen

They got Yancy Bruisewell back. He looked like he never left — 27.3 points.

3,016 yards over two seasons. Twenty-one touchdowns. Thirty-two games. He has never had a year like it.

He turned twenty-eight this year. He is from Pinch, West Virginia. He keeps his own counsel and his own hours. Nobody planned any of it. He was a first-round pick out of Caldwell A&M, and everybody saw it coming.

The club is 5-6. Yusuf Larue is new. There is one year left on the deal.

One more thing: he reads on the team plane, actual books, which his teammates find hilarious.
