Firebrands lose Rafael Underhill II to a collarbone

Marlene Ostrowski, column

Rafael Underhill II WR
Firebrands

Rafael Underhill II will miss the rest of the season with a collarbone. It is the second collarbone of his career. Draft accordingly.

He has 1,661 yards from scrimmage in five seasons, and seven touchdowns. He has never had a year like it. Two of those shirts belong to somebody else now.

Twenty-five, and Chicago, Illinois before that. Around the building he would rather be almost anywhere else on a Tuesday. He was a late bloomer who did not start a game until he was a college senior.

Firebrands, 13-2, and sixteen weeks gone. Barney Grit is new.

Reads on the team plane, actual books, which his teammates find hilarious.
