Marauders without Quinton Metcalf again

Gridiron Wire, league desk

Quinton Metcalf WR
Marauders

Quinton Metcalf will miss the rest of the season with a broken forearm. That is his season.

The ledger, after twelve seasons: 13,795 yards, seventy-four scores. His best was 1,965. This is not that, yet. Three clubs have had him.

He turned thirty-three this year. He is from Memphis, Tennessee. He is popular in a way that does not show up anywhere useful. Nobody planned any of it. He was drafted on a medical gamble that three clubs would not take. He drove a snowplow for the county, once.

The club is 7-4. Newt Kowalczyk is new. There is one year left on the deal.

He does the crossword in the locker room before he dresses, and always has.
