The Porterhouse without Pierce Gaskin again

P.J. Thorne, injury desk

Pierce Gaskin RB
The Porterhouse

Pierce Gaskin sustained an Achilles and is expected to miss the rest of the season. That is his season.

11,212 yards over six seasons. Sixty touchdowns. Ninety-four games. There was a 2,710-yard year in there. This is not it.

Twenty-eight, and Cattaraugus Falls, New York before that. Around the building he is the one the young players actually ask. Nobody planned any of it. He was rugby until he was nineteen, and he tackles like it. In another life he kept bees.

The Porterhouse are 3-6-1 through eleven weeks. Cormac Bombardo is in year eighteen of it. He is out of contract after this.

Reads on the team plane, actual books, which his teammates find hilarious.
