C. Taken and Zeb Tolbert Jr. do the only thing they do

Chip Nutbeam, hot take

Zeb Tolbert Jr. WR
The Mustaches

C. Taken TO Zeb Tolbert Jr. AGAIN. That is 34 of them now. They have played 7 games together this season alone. It is the simplest thing this offence does and the hardest to stop.

The ledger, after seven seasons: 5,604 yards, thirty-four scores. His best was 1,320. This is not that, yet.

He turned twenty-nine this year. He is from Doverville, Georgia. Around the building he is popular in a way that does not show up anywhere useful. Nobody planned any of it. He was cut twice before his twenty-fourth birthday. He dug graves for a summer and says it was the best job he ever had, once.

The Mustaches are 5-2 through eight weeks. Ibrahim Oliphant is in year four of it.

Tolbert Jr. will not step on the painted logo at midfield.

This feature ran in the paper in week 8 of 1994. The rest of the season is there too.
