Lawnmower Speight had 168 yards. He was drafted late, on the strength of one game nobody else watched. He has worn the same undershirt since his rookie year and had it repaired twice, which his teammates have stopped remarking on. It is a long way from Tijuana, Mexico, and he did not come the easy way.
He has 2,985 yards from scrimmage in eight seasons, and thirty-nine touchdowns. This is the best of them. Three clubs have had him.
