Carter Mancini finds it, in year 4

Chip Nutbeam, hot take

Carter Mancini QB
Copperheads

Carter Mancini had 165 yards. He was a track man who was talked into it by a coach who never let go. He carries a chess set on the road and beats everyone, which his teammates have stopped remarking on. It counts the same as anybody else's.

Across ten seasons: 19,573 yards from scrimmage, 319 touchdowns, 172 games. He got to 2,468 once. Not this time. Two of those shirts belong to somebody else now.

Thirty-two, and Miami, Florida before that. Ask anybody: he is the first man in the building most mornings.

The club is 2-2. Ezra Farrow is in year two of it. He is out of contract after this.
