Pikemen lose Keegan Ramsbottom to a broken leg

Keegan Ramsbottom: broken leg, the rest of the season. It is the third time this season he has been on the report.

The ledger, after four seasons: 6,217 yards, thirty-nine scores. This is the best of them.

He is twenty-five, out of Hollow Rock, Tennessee. He says almost nothing and is listened to anyway. Nobody planned any of it. He was a late bloomer who did not start a game until he was a college senior.

The club is 9-4. Roman Speight is new. There is one year left on the deal.

One more thing: he reads on the team plane, actual books, which his teammates find hilarious.

This feature ran in the paper in week 14 of 1991. The rest of the season is there too.
