Fragile to Wrecked: Duke Nakamura after the MCL

Hal Vandergrift, veteran beat

Sentinels

You see this two or three times a decade. An MCL at 39.4, and the player you knew is a player you remember. He lost 12.5 points of ability and will not get them back.

Seventy-one sacks and zero interceptions across twelve seasons. He has done it in seven buildings.

Thirty-nine, and Verdigris, Kansas before that. He has never been described as easy to coach. He was drafted on a medical gamble that three clubs would not take. In another life he spent two summers on a crab boat.

Sentinels are 12-5 through eighteen weeks. Duke Gravelle is in year five of it. There is one year left on the deal.

Nakamura calls his grandmother before every game and after every loss.
