Rocket Spiralman had 125 yards. He was drafted on a medical gamble that three clubs would not take. He calls his grandmother before every game and after every loss, which his teammates have stopped remarking on. It counts the same as anybody else's.
Across eleven seasons: 17,060 yards from scrimmage, 246 touchdowns, 165 games. He got to 2,077 once. Not this time. Three clubs have had him.
Thirty-five, and Cattaraugus Falls, New York before that. Around the building he is unfailingly polite and completely unknowable.
The Porterhouse are 4-6 through eleven weeks. Cormac Bombardo is in year thirteen of it. The contract runs out in the spring.
