The Achilles took something from Mateo Jessup

Hal Vandergrift, veteran beat

Mateo Jessup OL
Nightshift

Mateo Jessup is back from the Achilles but has lost a step, and his durability grade has fallen to Fragile. He lost 10.6 points of ability and will not get them back.

He turned thirty-three this year. He is from Chicago, Illinois. He says almost nothing and is listened to anyway. The route here: a walk-on at Dunbar Normal who did not have a scholarship until his third year.

Nightshift, 8-9, and eighteen weeks gone. Meatball Speight is in year three of it. The contract runs out in the spring.

One more thing: he reads on the team plane, actual books, which his teammates find hilarious.
