A broken fibula at WR is not a small thing. the rest of the season is the optimistic read. The backup inherits the job for now.

3,931 yards over four seasons. Sixteen touchdowns. Fifty-eight games. His best was 1,344. This is not that, yet.

Twenty-five, and Memphis, Tennessee before that. Around the building he is popular in a way that does not show up anywhere useful. Nobody planned any of it. He was drafted on a medical gamble that three clubs would not take. Before any of it he drove a snowplow for the county.

The club is 1-3. Bo Popplewell is in year three of it. The contract runs out in the spring.
