Keegan Fenwick III done for the year

Wendell Sowerbutts, notebook

Keegan Fenwick III QB
Roughnecks

Keegan Fenwick III: meniscus, the rest of the season. It is the second meniscus of his career.

He has 19,951 yards from scrimmage in eleven seasons, and 297 touchdowns. There was a 2,675-yard year in there. This is not it. For four clubs.

He is thirty-one, out of Verdigris, Kansas. Ask anybody: he is the first man in the building most mornings. He was a track man who was talked into it by a coach who never let go.

Roughnecks are 8-8 through seventeen weeks. Quinton Underhill is new.

One more thing: he is the last man off the field, every week, without exception.

This feature ran in the paper in week 17 of 1987. The rest of the season is there too.
